Online Safety Academy

Do you find it challenging to implement your system in compliance with ISO 26262 while maintaining a competitive time to market? Together with NXP, we have developed the Online Safety Academy to deliver specialized training for you.

With the online Safety Academy, we deliver a modular approach to learning more about safety. Whether you are a program manager or a hardware, software or system engineer, the Online Safety Academy has options for you to follow dedicated training sessions that provide you with the answers you need to start designing safety-critical applications more quickly.

The Online Safety Academy contents break down into 13 different modules and are organized in four learning paths, tailored to the specific needs of various professional roles. The objectives of each curriculum path are:

  • Program manager path (Module 1-6): Provides an overview to Functional Safety and ISO 26262 standard, describes the development process with NXP products (SEooC), and explains how NXP’s SafeAssure products and deliverables can be used to simplify and speed up time to market.
  • Hardware engineer path (Module 1-9): Explains the ISO 26262 hardware development processes and methodologies. It also explains how NXP safety hardware and safety documentation helps to reduce the implementation complexity of projects.
  • Software engineer path (Module 1-6 and Module 10): Explains the basis for the software product development, focusing on the methods recommended by ISO26262 and how NXP safety software and tools help to reduce development time.
  • System engineer path (Module 1-13): Explains in detail Part 3 and Part 4 of the ISO 26262 standard. Built on the foundations for the hardware and software paths, it also explains how NXP SafeAssure solutions, developed as Safety Elements out of Context, can be tailored and integrated into the customer’ssafety designs.
